Pirates in Kindergarten

Yo ho ho! Kindergartner, Ella W, showed up to school with a patch on her eye because of a scratched cornea so Mrs. Glenn turned it into a fun Catholic Social Teaching moment to show empathy. All the kids donned eye patches and got to talk like pirates! So long to the land lubber kindergartners and hello to the new pirates of the OLP Jolly Roger! Those BLIMEY eye injuries can walk the plank!

Peace Pal Books

For the past month, 6th grade students have been writing a fiction story about their Kindergarten Peace Pals. These stories were then printed out as books and given to the Kindergarteners as a Christmas present.

Christmas Toy Drive

Toy Drive! We think these two are dolls, but… their families will miss them if they stay in the toy bin. So, help us fill the barrel for the fourth week in a row with real new unwrapped toys for local families who benefit from Catholic Charities. It’s not too late!

Making Snowmen in PE

You don’t need a meadow to build a snowman when you have Mrs. Murphy! Kindergarten loved PE Class. They divided into groups and raced to build snowmen with their gym toys and equipment! They were so cute and extra colorful. The cheers and giggles made it obvious these kiddos didn’t want their class to end.

Kindergarten Votes

God Bless America! Our kindergarten couldn’t wait to cast their ballots. The candidates were feisty and furry! Dog, Cat, Monkey, and Rabbit all presented a fair campaign and desirable appeal, but the votes are in and … CAT WON! No recount needed.
Thanks Mrs. Glenn and Mrs Fazio for this super fun lesson on our rights and privileges as Americans.
