Teacher Biography
Ms. Hannah Megna
Hello and welcome! My name is Hannah Megna. I proudly attended Our Lady of Peace from PK3 through 8th grade, and my education continued as I attended Waynesburg University, George Washington University, and Ohio University for undergraduate and graduate work. In between (and even during) some of those degrees, I was an adjunct professor which included designing curriculum, building syllabi, and teaching classes at the collegiate level. After a few years, I made the decision to put higher education on hold for a while and returned home to Wheeling. It wasn’t long before fate and faith crossed paths and I found myself re-involved with this school.
One of my favorite things about OLP is the sense of family and legacy that is steeped in every step forward we take and that supports us as we grow. My dad attended school here when he was young, and his love of math and science were nurtured by a young teacher named Joe Holly. By the time I made it to middle school, Mr. Holly wasn’t quite so young anymore, but he was still able to intrigue and inspire students (including me) as they fell in love with the subjects he taught.
Which brings us to now—after multiple degrees and six years of teaching college students—I have been blessed with the task of taking up the position of middle school Math and Science teacher here at OLP. I hope to help students expand their education, their faith, their curiosity, and their sense of self as we walk forward into the future and as the legacies of the teachers who came before us echo in our footsteps.
